Welcome, friends, to the Presbytery of the Western Reserve web site.

About the Presbytery of the Western Reserve...

The Presbytery of the Western Reserve, a regional governing body of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), serves forty-eight congregations, one new church development, one immigrant fellowship and over 10,750 members in northeastern Ohio. Bordered by Lake Erie on the north coast, the Presbytery includes the greater Cleveland metropolitan area, Lorain, Ashtabula, small town and rural communities.
To contact us or for more information about the Presbytery's history and mission, see the About Us section.

Our mission in the Presbytery of the Western Reserve is to witness to the love and justice of Christ in the world and to strengthen one another for the work Christ calls us to do as individuals, congregations, and the Presbytery.

September Presbytery Meeting Location Changed

The September 27, 2010 Presbytery meeting location has changed.
The meeting was originally planned for the East Side Presbyterian Church, Ashtabula. However, due to a flood in their building they regrettably will be unable to host the meeting. St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church has graciously offered to host the meeting. St. Andrew’s is located at 23114 West Road, Olmsted Falls, OH 44138.

“Indwelling the Word”
This year the “Matthew 25:31-46” passage completes its five-year cycle with a
FOCUS ON RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
Friend-to-Friend Program

“When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?” ". . . I tell you the truth, whatever you did to one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:39-40

The Friend-to-Friend Program invites you to be matched with someone in prison to visit once a month. Inmate participants are screened. Volunteer training and staff support are provided. You’re not asked to do anything you don’t already know how to do -- just be a friend to someone who needs one.
