The VMTF gathered at Church of the Covenant for a morning retreat spent reviewing the essential tasks a presbytery performs and the principles upon which a new structure will be based, with the specific intention of brainstorming some potential new structure designs. By the end of the morning the TF had a rough sketch of a more streamlined structure that would reduce the number of committees, redistribute some responsibilities, and allow some space for creative visioning, while assuring that the primary tasks are fulfilled. The TF will continue to workshop this structure idea in future meetings.
